“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
― Eleanor Roosevelt
Today, I attended the Majors Expo in the Adanti Student
Center at one o’clock. It was such a satisfying experience to attend in that I was
broadened to all of the potential majors here at Southern. I also got an
opportunity to introduce myself to the representatives standing at the
Communication Disorders table. In doing so, I learned that with this degree,
people can work in hospitals, public and private schools, rehabilitation
centers, and many other places. This really reassured me about this major
because I love the flexibility and the diverse areas someone with this degree
can work in. It made me so excited for what is to come in the future and I can’t
wait to start taking classes that have to do with my major. I am also very
happy to hear that through the year 2014, speech-language pathology is expected
to grow faster than average which makes me feel good about having this as my
major. Overall, my experience at the Majors Expo was a positive one and
definitely would recommend it to all first year students, or those unsure of
their major because the possibilities are endless!
