7I; Caution: Quiet Zone

“The world is quiet here.”

#25- If you walk straight out of my home, Hickerson, keep walking straight over the foot bridge, and take a sharp left, you will find the place that is the easiest for me to focus. In years past, I have done my homework while watching TV, on my phone, listening to music, or any of those combined. The quiet study floor of the library enables me to focus and get my work done without distraction and I am grateful for that. It gives me a kind of motivation that I don’t get from sitting in my dorm room and pushes me to do big chunks of work at a time.
The Buley library is no secret spot, but it is definitely efficient and it is good to see that many students take advantage of this. Being able to see the ongoing construction happening to make the library even larger than it is, is so promising and I have no doubt the new library will look amazing. It was so easy to find and navigate and I will definitely be visiting regularly if I am in need of a quiet environment to work in. Believe it or not, I have met new people by going here and am able to ask for help or advice, even if they are not in the same classes as me. Nothing but positive things have come out of my visits to the library and I look forward to going back!
